The Little Things

One of the original projects Donkey and Lion started in 2022 was honouring the Lion’s passion for the little things in life. We invited the community to share the little things one’s life that bring joy.

“The little things in life are rather important to me.

Often these things can easily be overlooked on the day to day, but are missed immensely when they are gone. That is when the little things become the big things. For this month, Donkey and Lion is committing to the sticky note I wrote in October. To create an illustration of a little thing every day.

My hope, what started as a little thought, will become a bigger creative collective. By the end of the month, a collection of cards that celebrates the little things in life.

 The Little things that came in from this project were beautiful, heartfelt, hilarious, and special. One commonality, they all sparked participants to reflect on life and the things that are important, big or little. Though this blog is being written years later, these designs still are being celebrated within our collection.
