When I started Donkey & Lion, it wasn’t just about making cards. It was about connection. It was about taking something small—a handwritten note, a carefully chosen design—and turning it into a moment that reminds someone they are seen and valued.

Creativity has always been my way of making sense of the world, of leaving something meaningful behind. Whether I’m sketching a new design, teaching students the power of artistic expression, or cooking in the mountains under a starlit sky, my work is fueled by intention. Every card, every project, every event is a reflection of that.

This is why From the Heart: Letters to Seniors is so important to me. It’s more than an event—it’s an invitation. An invitation to pause, to share a piece of ourselves, and to be a part of something bigger than any single card or letter.

I believe in the ripple effect of kindness. I believe in the magic of handwritten words. And I believe that when we create with intention, we make the world just a little bit brighter.
